Post Y2K

I am still here!! Aliens didn't come and carry me away! Jesus didn't come to Jerusalem and Hal Lindsey was there to not see it!! I even picked up my phone, when the phone company said not to! I turned on and off my light switch just to see if it was not my imagination! I watched the ball drop and saw all the lights stay on in NY. Imagine that! I still had all my money in the bank. My Visa card worked just fine too, unfortunately.

My biggest question now is when are we going to see a glut in the market for all the Y2K supplies. I hope I get some good deals. Some of these outfits selling this stuff might buy it back at 1/3 the price and sell it for half price. If I had no conscience, I should start a new business, buying Y2K stuff and I could even guarantee anonymity to the sellers!

Time magazine should call this one "Scam of the Century"! How much money was needlessly spent on so-called Y2K fixes, consultants, repair services, and compliance contracts. If I had no conscience I could have been in that business too. I guess I am not the thieving type. The people I told not to worry still had an operating computer even though they were 4 years old or so. The computers, not the people!

Oh well, the doomsday prophets will take all the credit for a good outcome and just tell you now, "If it weren't for our dire predictions, you wouldn't have been prepared."

Sometimes you just can't lose for winning, or something like that.
